The Premier League's Player of the Month awards went to Dynamo players
Representatives of Kyiv's Dynamo received awards for the best player and coach of the February–March period.

The "White-and-Blues" forward Matvii Ponomarenko was named the best player of the reporting period. After the winter break, the Ukraine national team debutant scored seven goals in five matches, including two-goal performances in matches against Kamianets-Podilskyi’s “Epicenter” (4–0) and Zhytomyr’s “Polissya” (2–1).
Meanwhile, Dynamo head coach Ihor Kostyuk received the award for best coach of the second half of February and all of March. Under his leadership, the Kyiv team secured five wins in five rounds, including victories over Lviv’s Rukh (1-0), Kyiv’s Obolon (2-1), and Oleksandriya (5-0).
Forward Ponomarenko received the majority of votes from both experts (32.3%) and fans (40.1%). He significantly outpaced the other candidates, including Polissya winger Oleksiy Hutsulyak, Lviv’s Karpaty attacking midfielder Bruninho, Shakhtar forward Lassina Traoré, teammate Andriy Yarmolenko, Zorya midfielder Nemanja Andjusic, Polissya midfielder Lyndon Emerlahu, and Epicenter forward Vladyslav Supryaga.
Among the competitors, only Hutsulyak received more than 10% of the votes from both experts and the public, but he trailed Ponomarenko significantly—15.8% from experts and 11.8% from fans.
Dynamo head coach Ihor Kostyuk also won in both categories: he received 43.5% of the experts’ votes and 41.9% of the fans’ votes. Second place went to Polissya coach Ruslan Rotan, whose team secured four wins in five rounds following the winter break.
The coach of the “Polissya Wolves” was supported by 30.5% of analysts and 24.9% of soccer fans. Coaches Vitaliy Ponomariov of Cherkasy’s LNZ and Arda Turan of Shakhtar trailed far behind.
As a reminder, the capital’s football giant demonstrated rapid financial growth, ending 2025 with a net profit of 275.6 million UAH.
Kyiv’s Dynamo confidently defeated Oleksandriya in an away match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Premier League. Andriy Yarmolenko opened the scoring in the 4th minute. This goal marked his 119th in the championships of independent Ukraine. Only Maksym Shats’kikh (124) and Serhiy Rebrov (123) have scored more.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian national soccer team will compete in Group B2 of the 2026/27 Nations League against Hungary, Georgia, and Northern Ireland.
