Rashid Al-Dhaheri finishes fourth in Formula Regional — The National
In Germany, Emirati racing driver Rashid Al-Dhaheri finished the FIA Formula Regional European Championship season fourth in the overall standings. At the final round in Hockenheim, the 18-year-old driver finished on the podium and was 38 points behind series champion Emanuele Olivieri of Italy.
As The National reports, Al-Dhaheri competed for the French team R-ace GP. Over eight rounds, he secured three victories, eight podiums, one pole position and one fastest lap. The driver won at the Red Bull Ring, Monza and Hungaroring circuits.
Title fight
In the middle of the season, Al-Dhaheri led the championship, holding a 21-point advantage over his rivals. He became the first representative of the UAE to lead the series' overall standings. Four drivers were in contention for the title before the final weekend in Hockenheim, but the Emirati driver finished the season in fourth place.

Al-Dhaheri is a Mercedes junior driver. He began karting after attending the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit at the age of three. According to the driver, his family had no experience in motorsport, and his father initially searched Google for information on the path to Formula 1.
Next start in Macau
At the age of six, Al-Dhaheri was already competing in Europe. During the Covid-19 pandemic, when he was 12, travel restrictions separated him from his parents for two years. He also said that constant travel and a packed racing calendar had become part of his career.
Al-Dhaheri's next start will be the FIA Formula Regional World Cup as part of the Macau Grand Prix, scheduled for November 19–22. No information has yet been reported about the driver's plans for 2027, while his long-term goal remains to compete in Formula 1.
