Richarlison reacts to omission from Tottenham squad for Liverpool match

De Zerbi's remarks
According to MyJoyOnline, the 29-year-old forward's future at the London club has become less certain after his potential move to Brazil's Vasco da Gama failed to materialize last week. According to the publication's sources, Tottenham agreed a transfer fee with Vasco da Gama, but the parties did not agree on the player's personal terms before the transfer window in Brazil closed.
At a pre-match press conference on Monday, De Zerbi said that at the start of the season he had repeatedly tried to persuade Richarlison to stay and had offered him a contract extension. The coach also said that he did not consider it right to explain the details of the events of the past 45 days, as the issue concerns the relationship between the player and the club.

Unsuccessful negotiations
Richarlison's proposed move to Everton for £35 million also previously fell through: the forward did not agree personal terms with the club. He was also not included in Tottenham's Premier League squad amid a dispute with the club over the final nine months of his current contract.
According to sources, Richarlison is considering further career options and would like to terminate his current deal early, which expires next summer. At the same time, Tottenham have an option to extend the contract by another 12 months. Last season, the Brazilian was the team's top scorer, netting 12 goals in all competitions.
