Russia did not secure any leadership positions in the European Archery Federation
At the European Archery Federation Congress, held on May 17, 2026, in Antalya, no Russian representatives were elected to the organization’s governing or working bodies. The voting results effectively mean that Russia will have no representation in the federation’s new structure.

The European Archery Federation Congress took place on May 17, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey. Three people were nominated by Russia for the elections: Manhanov for the Executive Committee, Maria Larkina for the Judging Committee, and Albina Loginova for the Youth Sports Development Committee.
“Unfortunately, the Russians did not make it into the federation’s governing and working bodies. All of our representatives were eliminated in the second round of voting. We received a maximum of 13 votes out of a possible 36,” Manhanov said.
Hakan Şakiroğlu, a representative from Turkey, was elected as the new president of the European Archery Federation. The organization’s former president, Mario Scarcella, who led it for 20 years, was named honorary president.
