Ruslan Rotan and Nazarii Rusyn received UPL awards for September

"Karpaty" forward Nazarii Rusyn was named the Ukrainian Premier League's Player of the Month for September, while "Polissia" coach Ruslan Rotan was named Coach of the Month.

In September, Rusyn played in three league matches. He scored goals in the games against Shakhtar and Kolos.

Under Rotan’s leadership, Polissya secured three victories in September—against Kudrivka (5–1), Livy Bereg (1–0), and Kryvbas (1–0).

Following these results, the Zhytomyr-based club leads the UPL standings with 18 points.

Earlier in Madrid, Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho defended Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior after home fans at the Bernabéu Stadium booed both players. The coach compared the players to fruit trees, which, according to a Portuguese proverb, are stoned precisely because they bear fruit.

Before Real Madrid’s match against Elche in Elche, Spain, Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Ibrahima Konaté pulled up their white jerseys to about chest level, partially covering the slogan in support of the residents of Ceuta.
