Taisiya Onofriychuk was named Ukraine's top female athlete for the month of May
The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has named the best female athlete of May 2026. The winner of this annual competition is rhythmic gymnast Taisiia Onofriichuk.
This decision was made by the NOC’s expert commission following the Ukrainian athlete’s successful performance at the European Championships in Varna, Bulgaria, where she won a bronze medal in the individual all-around final.
This is the second time Taisiia Onofriichuk has received this recognition. She was first named Athlete of the Month last year following her successful performance at the continental championships.
In addition, in 2025, the International Gymnastics Federation awarded the Ukrainian athlete the honorary status of “World Class Gymnast” for her performance at the Olympic Games in Paris.
