El-Kanemi’s advantage and Shooting Stars’ match
El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri travel to face Guinea-Bissau’s UD Internacional with a 3-0 advantage after the first match. The winner of this tie could potentially face Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the next round.
Shooting Stars will play CS Sfaxien in Tunisia. The Ibadan club won the first match in Abeokuta 1-0 thanks to a goal by Lucky Emmanuel. For the team, this is a return to African competition after more than two decades. Shooting Stars are appearing in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time, although they won the tournament in 1992 when it was called the CAF Cup.
