Harrison and Skupski win US Open men's doubles title in the United States
American Christian Harrison and Britain's Neal Skupski defeated Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz in the US Open men's doubles final in the United States. The match in New York ended 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), Channel NewsAsia reports.
Break in the first set
The reigning Australian Open champions earned a break in the first set at 3-3, when Harrison hit a winning return with a two-handed backhand. After that, the American-British duo held all of their service games and won the set 6-4.

Second-set tiebreak
In the second set, Krawietz and Pütz took a 3-2 lead, but Harrison and Skupski immediately levelled the score by winning a service game without dropping a point. The German pair, who were finalists at the 2024 tournament, later led 4-3 and 5-4 after saving a set point.
Harrison held serve in a five-point game and took the set into a tiebreak. Pütz put the German duo ahead 4-3 after a volley, but Harrison and Skupski fought back. Skupski's return proved decisive, after which Krawietz made an error. This is the second Grand Slam doubles title of the year for Harrison and Skupski.
