Ukraine has announced its roster for the 2026 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The Ukrainian national team has finalized its official roster for the 2026 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia. The list includes 16 Ukrainian athletes—both men and women—who will compete in the senior and junior categories.

This year’s continental championship will feature several historic innovations. For the first time, the tournament has been divided into separate blocks: the women’s competitions will take place August 13–16, and the men’s August 19–23. In addition, the Croatian Gymnastics Federation has provided a prize fund of 150,000 euros for the first time. Cash prizes will be awarded to senior gymnasts and their coaches for podium finishes in the individual all-around and apparatus finals.

The biggest surprise was the absence of Rio 2016 Olympic champion Oleg Verniaiev from the entry list. According to former national team coach Hennadiy Sartynskyi, the decorated gymnast had only recently resumed training after an injury, so his participation in the competition was in doubt from the start.

The full roster of the Ukrainian national team:

  • Men (senior): Vladyslav Hryko, Mykyta Melnikov, Bohdan Suprun, Sviatoslav Shved, Yegor Perepelykin, and Nazar Chepurnyi (who will compete in the individual events).

  • Women (senior): Diana Lobok, Bohdana Kovalova, Kristina Hrudetska, Anastasia Lev, and Marianna Kinyuk.

  • Men (juniors): Volodymyr Golovin, Valentin Gavrilchenko, Maksym Borisov, Tymofii Kyrychenko, and Bohdan Petrenko.

  • Women (juniors): Polina Nagorna, Yana Protsenko.

Olympic artistic gymnastics champion Viktoria Listunova has been included in the Russian national team’s roster for the European Women’s Championships, which will take place August 13–16 in Croatia.

The Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team won the bronze medal in the World Cup event for the routine with three hoops and two pairs of clubs. The Ukrainian women added to the country’s medal tally by taking third place in the final.
