A gymnast from Russia who wore the Z symbol has been named to the Euro 2026 roster
Olympic artistic gymnastics champion Viktoria Listunova has been included in the Russian national team’s roster for the Women’s European Championships, which will take place August 13–16 in Croatia.
Listunova drew attention after she participated in a rally attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022, appearing in clothing bearing the “Z” symbol, which is used as a sign of support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In addition, according to media reports, the athlete posted on Instagram about a fundraiser for a Russian gymnast whose father reportedly died in combat while fighting on the side of the Russian occupation forces.
Listunova, 21, is an Olympic champion and a multiple European championship medalist.

Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk has likely already decided on his final opponent in his professional career. According to The Ring, the Ukrainian’s team is in active negotiations for a fight against former world champion Deontay Wilder.
Oleksandr Usyk no longer tops the list of the world’s best boxers across all weight classes. The top spot in The Independent’s prestigious rankings is now held by Japanese champion Naoya Inoue. The Ukrainian, who had long been considered the world’s top boxer following his victories in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, has dropped to second place.
