Ukrainian Ivan Tkachenko became the runner-up in the Croatian basketball championship

The final series of the Croatian Basketball Championship has concluded, with Ukrainian Ivan Tkachenko’s “Zadar” falling to “Cibona.” In the decisive fifth game of the series, Tkachenko’s team lost 75–82 and fell behind 2–3 in the series, ultimately finishing second in the tournament.

 

Zadar, which had won the Croatian championship for three consecutive years, confidently won the regular season this year and led 2-1 in the final series, but unexpectedly lost.

Zadar’s Ukrainian forward Ivan Tkachenko did not take the court in the decisive game. Overall, he played in two games of the final series, averaging 6 minutes of playing time and scoring no points.

In the Croatian league, he played in 27 games, averaging 13.7 minutes per game, scoring 5.1 points, grabbing 2.5 rebounds, dishing out 0.6 assists, and making 0.6 steals.

Tkachenko also played 16 games in the Adriatic League this season, averaging 10.5 minutes, 1.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.2 assists, according to the FBU.
