Award-winning Ukrainian shooter Daria Dudka shared some happy news—she is expecting a baby. The 40-year-old champion admitted that the most important stage of her life lies ahead, calling her upcoming motherhood her biggest challenge.
“I have some special news for you. One of the most important challenges of my life lies ahead. That’s why I’m taking a short break from competitions for a while. I’ll definitely be back on the firing line soon—stronger, more motivated, and even more hungry for victory. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Your faith in me is very valuable to me. And to everyone who’s already thought there are fewer competitors now… think again)) This is just a brief pause. See you at the competitions. And please, don’t let your guard down,” Daria Dudka wrote on Instagram.
Daria Dudka is a multiple champion and medalist of the Ukrainian Championships and Ukrainian Cups in shooting. She competed in the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012.
In May 2026, Daria Dudka won a medal at the European Shooting Championships. The Ukrainian duo of Daria Dudka and Serhiy Kulish won silver in the 50-meter rifle three-position event.
