Ukrainian archers won gold and silver at the European Junior Championships
The Ukrainian national archery team won two medals at the European Junior Championships, which concluded in Rome, Italy. The Ukrainian team’s tally included a gold and a silver medal.
A total of 376 athletes from 40 countries participated in the competition, including 13 archers representing Ukraine.
Oleksandr Dymarchuk, Dmytro Fomin, and Ivan Rashevsky were crowned European champions in the U21 junior team competition in the recurve division. In the final, the Ukrainians defeated the French team with a score of 6–2. This is Ukraine’s first team “gold” in this discipline at the European Junior Championships since 2012.
Anna Anisimova won another medal for Ukraine. She took silver in the individual competition among U18 cadets in recurve archery. In the final, the Ukrainian lost to Turkey’s Dunya Yenihayat with a score of 4–6.

Anisimova’s silver medal was Ukraine’s first in this discipline at the European Junior Championships since 2018.
