Millwall's first-half advantage
The home side dominated before the break and took the lead through goals from Caleb Taylor and Camiel Neghli. Both goals came after long throw-ins that caused problems for West Ham's defence.
The match was held under heightened security measures. Police carried out a large-scale operation near Millwall's stadium and used extended powers to stop and search people.

The visitors' comeback and Kanté's dismissal
After the break, West Ham, who came into the game on the back of four consecutive wins and as the Championship's highest-scoring team, turned the course of the match. Substitute Mohamadou Kanté reduced the deficit with a long-range strike, while Konstantinos Mavropanos headed in Manor Solomon's cross to level the score.
Late in the match, Kanté was sent off for a foul on Kyrell Lisbie, who was breaking through on goal. West Ham finished the game with 10 men and held on for a draw. The result allowed the club to remain at the top of the Championship table, while Millwall extended their 22-year winless run against West Ham.
