Poland thrash Romania 6-0 as Lewandowski scores a hat-trick — Interia Sport
In Poland, the national team thrashed Romania 6-0, while Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick. As Interia Sport notes, the Polish team did not hold a significant advantage before the penalty incident.
Penalty and sending-off
Poland's first goal resulted from a penalty converted by Lewandowski. Before that, following a pass from Sebastian Szymański, he beat a defender and was fouled. The Romanian footballer received a red card, leaving his team a player down.
The columnist noted that awarding the penalty was not obvious, but VAR had no grounds to overturn the referee's decision. After opening the scoring, Poland netted five more goals and had opportunities to extend their lead.

Match ratings
The commentator praised the performances of Nicola Zalewski and goalkeeper Marcin Bułka. In his view, Przemysław Frankowski performed well on the left side of defence, while Matty Cash was noticeable when switching the ball to the opposite flank.
Midfielders Wiktor Nowak and Sebastian Szymański also received positive ratings. At the same time, according to the author, Karol Świderski was the least convincing among the attacking players: he did not register a single shot on target.
Lewandowski to miss Bosnia match
Lewandowski received a yellow card and, due to an accumulation of cautions, will not play in the final training-camp match against Bosnia, which will take place away from home. Interia Sport also writes that the emphatic victory over Romania gave coach Jan Urban more time and calm amid rumours of his possible dismissal.
