Following the draw for the final stage of the European Championship, the eight teams were divided into two groups of four. Two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. Ukraine has been drawn into Group B.

The 2026 U19 European Championship will take place in Wales from June 28 to July 11. The competition will also serve as a UEFA qualifier for the 2027 U20 World Cup, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The Ukrainian U19 national team has already won the 2009 European Championship and has also claimed bronze three times—in 2004, 2018, and 2024. Notably, at the previous European Championship, the “blue-and-yellows” reached the semifinals, where they narrowly lost to France (0–1).
What is known about Ukraine’s opponents at the 2026 U19 European Championship?
Croatia’s best result at the U19 European Championship is third place in the 1998 and 2003 tournaments. The Croatians have competed at this level six times and have not yet played against Ukraine’s junior national team.
Serbia’s national team has one U19 European Championship title to its name—from 2013. The Serbs have also reached the semifinals four times and won bronze medals. Serbia has faced Ukraine five times at the European Championship—the “blue-and-yellows” won twice, while the other three matches ended in draws.
Italy has won the U19 European Championship twice—in 2003 and 2023—and has also finished as runner-up three times. The Italians have played five matches against the "blue-and-yellows" at the U19 European Championship—the Ukrainians won two of them, including the most recent one in July 2024.
