The Ukrainian national team will meet with fans in Lviv

In early June, Lviv will host an open training session for the Ukrainian national soccer team and a meet-and-greet with fans, marking the team’s symbolic return to interacting with supporters on home soil. This will be the first such event since the start of the full-scale war, and it will bring spectators to the Skif Stadium as a free, open-to-the-public event. Organizers describe this gathering as a gesture of gratitude to Ukrainians and an opportunity to feel the team’s presence once again. This was reported by the UAF.

On June 3 in Lviv at the Skif Stadium, the Ukrainian national team will hold an open training session and a meet-and-greet with fans. This will not merely be a sporting event, but rather an emotional moment of unity between the team and the people who support it even without official home matches. The UAF emphasizes that due to security restrictions, the national team is still unable to play international matches on Ukrainian territory, but strives to remain as close as possible to its fans.

The organizers explain that this event is conceived as an open gathering without formal barriers, where anyone who wishes to attend can see the players and experience the atmosphere of a vibrant team that continues to compete under the Ukrainian flag despite challenging conditions. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m., and admission will be free; however, seating is limited, so tickets must be reserved in advance.

The UAF emphasizes that each fan can receive up to four tickets, seating will be unassigned, and the stadium gates will open one hour before the event begins to avoid lines and allow people to take their seats calmly. The organizers also remind attendees of safety rules and ask everyone to pay close attention to air raid sirens and instructions from stadium staff.

The announcement also notes that despite sporting challenges, the Ukrainian national team continues to prepare for upcoming international competitions and is monitoring the schedule for the 2026 World Cup, where all groups and potential opponents have already been determined. The team recently completed a difficult qualifying stage, losing to Sweden in the playoff semifinals, but continues to fight for a spot in the World Cup.

For fans, this match in Lviv will be a rare opportunity to see the players live in Ukraine, experience the team spirit, and support the players in a format that has now become the only one available due to the security situation in the country. As the federation notes, such events are designed not only to support the team but also to maintain the connection between the national team and its main source of strength—the fans.

Recently, Brazilian national team forward Neymar, who was recently named to the final roster for the 2026 World Cup, suffered an injury during a club match.

A company owned by the father of former Barcelona and PSG player Neymar made a major investment, acquiring the “Pelé” brand and the entire legacy of the legendary soccer player.
