Three Ukrainian tennis players have advanced to the third round of the French Open
Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, and Yulia Starodubtseva won their second-round matches at Roland Garros and advanced to the next round of the tournament in Paris.

Ukraine’s top-ranked player, Elina Svitolina, confidently defeated Spain’s Caitlin Cuevas with a score of 6-0, 6-4. In the third round, the Ukrainian will face Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch.
Marta Kostyuk defeated American Katie Volynets in a tense match. After losing the first set in a tiebreak, the Ukrainian turned the match around and won 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. Kostyuk’s next opponent will be Swiss player Victoria Golubic.
The biggest upset of the day came from Yulia Starodubtseva, who knocked out world No. 2 Elena Rybakina. The Ukrainian lost the first set 3-6 but managed to pull off a victory—6-1, 7-6.
