Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven has been temporarily suspended from competition following his fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

The 37-year-old athlete has been banned from entering the ring for 30 days following his loss by technical knockout.

It is noted that such a suspension is a standard procedure in professional boxing to protect the health of athletes after fights.

According to boxing commission rules, a boxer receives a 30-day medical suspension after a technical knockout and a 60-day suspension after a knockout.
