Apple is preparing a major update to Siri for iOS 27
Apple is developing a new version of Siri that will be able to process complex chains of commands simultaneously.
According to Bloomberg, the update will allow users to combine multiple requests into a single command—for example, asking to check the weather, schedule a meeting, and send a message without a pause between actions. The assistant’s new capabilities and Apple Intelligence features are expected to be unveiled at the WWDC conference on June 8, 2026.
Development is underway as part of the upcoming iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 operating systems. The main goal is to make Siri more like modern AI chatbots, capable of understanding screen context and the user’s personal information. In the future, the assistant will be able to independently perform complex tasks, such as searching for a photo, editing it, and instantly sending it to a contact with a single command.
In addition to multitasking, Apple is working on the World Knowledge Answers project to aggregate information from the internet and create a separate app for the assistant. An updated system keyboard with improved autocorrect is also being tested, which will offer stylistic corrections similar to the Grammarly service. These features are scheduled for release to the general public in late 2026.
Starting March 15, Apple reduced the commission for developers in the Chinese App Store from 30% to 25%. For participants in the Small Business and Mini Apps Partner programs, the rate will also be lowered—from 15% to 12%.
