Apple releases macOS 27 Golden Gate for Macs with Apple Silicon — The Verge
Apple has released the macOS 27 Golden Gate operating system for all Mac computers with Apple Silicon processors. The update adds the new Siri AI assistant, changes to the Liquid Glass design, performance improvements, and other features, The Verge reports.
Siri AI in beta
The key new feature of macOS 27 is Siri AI. The assistant can answer questions, search for information from the user's personal context, including in photos and emails, and perform actions in the Messages and Reminders apps.
A separate app has been created for Siri AI, which will store a chat archive so users can return to conversations later. At the initial stage, the feature will be launched in beta and will work only in English.

Interface changes
Apple has also updated the Liquid Glass design. According to the company, the system provides more uniform refraction and improved contrast of interface elements. Users will be able to change the opacity of Liquid Glass elements using a new slider.
Another notable change concerns unified corner radii for windows. macOS 27 does not support Mac computers with Intel processors: last year, Apple released their last major update, macOS Tahoe.
