Australian IT specialist develops experimental cancer vaccine for his dog using ChatGPT

An Australian IT specialist named Paul created an experimental mRNA vaccine to treat cancer in his dog Rozy using the neural networks ChatGPT and Google AlphaFold. The dog was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, prompting Paul to search for a possible solution using modern artificial intelligence tools.

Paul spent around $3,000 on sequencing the tumor’s DNA and fed the data into AI systems. The algorithms helped identify mutated proteins, allowing him to design a personalized mRNA-based treatment approach.

He then shared the findings with medical professionals, who used the data to produce the vaccine. Within a few weeks after treatment, Rozy’s tumor reportedly shrank by nearly half and the dog’s overall condition improved significantly.

Doctors say this approach could eventually be applied to human medicine as well, since combining genetic analysis with artificial intelligence may open new possibilities for personalized cancer therapy.
