Google unveils special Fitbit Air for Pokémon Sleep
Google has unveiled a special version of the Fitbit Air fitness tracker compatible with the Pokémon Sleep app. The device combines health and physical activity tracking with a game in which user progress depends on the duration and quality of sleep. According to TechCrunch, the release is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
Activity and sleep tracking
Fitbit Air can synchronize with the Google Health app and Pokémon Sleep. During the day, the device records daily movement activity, heart rate, and cardio load, while at night it tracks sleep duration and quality.
Pokémon Sleep was released in 2023. In the game, users receive in-game rewards if they go to bed before a set time. At the beginning, the player receives a large sleepy Snorlax: the longer this Pokémon sleeps, the more so-called “sleep power” it accumulates, attracting new Pokémon to discover.

Price and start of sales
The special version of Fitbit Air is available for preorder for $129. Shipments to customers will begin on September 15, and the device will be sold online and in Google Store and Target stores.
The standard Fitbit Air costs $99. Google unveiled this model in May: it has a thinner design, improved health and physical activity monitoring features, and an AI coach with personalized recommendations based on activity, sleep, and well-being data.
Pokémon Sleep also supports Apple Watch, other Fitbit devices, Galaxy Watch, and Google Pixel Watch. The game can also be used without a wearable device.
