Google has run into a problem with its new Pixel 11 series: the Tensor G6 processor lags significantly behind competitors’ flagship chips in terms of performance, especially in games and resource-intensive apps.
The graphics processor is cited as the weakest link. In some tests, competitors demonstrate twice the peak graphics performance, while the Pixel 11 already struggles with the most demanding modern games.
At the same time, Google has placed a strong emphasis on AI and its powerful TPU neural processing unit. However, the new AI features have not yet been able to compensate for the smartphone’s weaker overall performance.
Google is rolling outthe Motion Assist featurein Android 17, designed to reduce motion sickness symptoms when using a smartphone while traveling. According to The Verge, citing Android Authority, the feature appears to be rolling out in phases, and some Pixel smartphones may be among the first to receive it.
