Google really messed up with the Pixel 11: the new Tensor G6 was a disappointment in terms of performance

Google has run into a problem with its new Pixel 11 series: the Tensor G6 processor lags significantly behind competitors’ flagship chips in terms of performance, especially in games and resource-intensive apps.

The graphics processor is cited as the weakest link. In some tests, competitors demonstrate twice the peak graphics performance, while the Pixel 11 already struggles with the most demanding modern games.

At the same time, Google has placed a strong emphasis on AI and its powerful TPU neural processing unit. However, the new AI features have not yet been able to compensate for the smartphone’s weaker overall performance.

Google is rolling out the Motion Assist feature in Android 17, designed to reduce motion sickness symptoms when using a smartphone while traveling. According to The Verge, citing Android Authority, the feature appears to be rolling out in phases, and some Pixel smartphones may be among the first to receive it.

Google has launched a global campaign for its Gemini AI assistant featuring Jimin from the band BTS. As part of the campaign, the artist uses Gemini to compose messages for his fans.
