Meta is launching a premium subscription service called Instagram Plus — TechCrunch

The American company Meta has begun official testing of its new paid service, Instagram Plus, in several countries around the world.

According to TechCrunch, the company confirmed the launch of the pilot project in an official email.

Meta representatives noted: “This subscription, called Instagram Plus, gives subscribers access to exclusive features” that were previously unavailable to regular users.

One of the key benefits of the updated service will be the ability to view other people’s Stories anonymously.

Now subscribers will be able to view content—photos or videos that disappear after 24 hours—without the author knowing that you’ve viewed it.

Significant changes will also affect audience management and profile privacy.

Users will be able to create an unlimited number of audience lists for their posts, going far beyond the standard “close friends” list.

This means that premium account holders will be able to flexibly customize who exactly sees each individual story.

Instead of choosing between all followers or a single group, users will be able to group followers into different categories as they wish.

In addition, the new subscription will significantly extend the “lifespan” of temporary content on the platform. Specifically, users have gained a feature that allows them to extend the display of their Stories for an additional 24 hours.

As a reminder, Telegram users have received a warning about the possible termination of the Premium subscription.

A fake channel has been identified on the Telegram messenger that, under the guise of an energy support program, attempts to collect users’ personal data by promising financial assistance.

Additionally, in Russia, a proposal was made to read Telegram via pagers.
