Nvidia and Palantir to deploy AI for supply chain management
In Israel, Nvidia and Palantir announced the deployment of an artificial intelligence model to manage critical supply chains. The automated system will have the authority to make decisions, and Nvidia’s supply chain will be the first site for its application, The Jerusalem Post reports.
A unified system for a global network
Nvidia’s supply chain includes millions of parts, thousands of suppliers, and a global network of manufacturing partners. The companies plan to unite teams around the world within a single operating system to improve the efficiency of their work.
According to Nvidia and Palantir, the system is intended to provide unprecedented supply chain transparency, identify constraints, continuously codify operational experience, and guide decision-making at machine speed. Palantir said its technology stack runs on Nemotron and Ontology models.

Employees will retain a key role
Nvidia said that planning specialists improved their performance while using the new model. At the same time, the company noted that AI cannot fully replace human decisions in situations requiring consideration of correspondence with partners, weather forecasts in key regions, geopolitical events, or the content of recent discussions with suppliers.
Nvidia believes that employees’ experience, gained over years of work, is better suited to processing such non-standard data. AI, in turn, is meant to perform repetitive and predictable tasks so employees can focus on unforeseen situations. The model will learn from conclusions provided by employees, without changes during production-mode supply chain management.
