Nvidia Expands Global Leadership: From London to the Middle East — Financial Times

After meeting U.S. President Donald Trump and King Charles in September, Jensen Huang took the stage in London before hundreds of entrepreneurs and investors, presenting Nvidia as a driving force in global artificial intelligence development. His performance resembled Oprah Winfrey’s famous giveaways: he handed out symbolic “prizes” and promised to invest in UK start-ups. This showmanship helped secure Nvidia a central role in a new tech agreement between the U.S. and Britain.

Huang has been vigorously promoting the idea of “sovereign AI,” urging countries to build their own national artificial intelligence systems — from computing infrastructure to data regulation. Yet at the core of these initiatives lie Nvidia’s chips, without which most projects cannot be realized. This ensures the company’s dominance as the primary technology supplier in the global AI race.

Over the past 12 months, Huang has met with dozens of world leaders and ministers, aggressively lobbying for Nvidia’s interests. The company is now involved in more than 20 “sovereign” AI projects spanning the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Analysts predict that the market for such deals could exceed $50 billion in the coming years, solidifying Nvidia’s status as a key global player in artificial intelligence.
