OpenAI has acquired the presentation-creation startup NextSlide
OpenAI has acquired the startup NextSlide, which developed a tool for creating editable presentations from queries, notes, documents, or research. The NextSlide team is already working on ChatGPT, according to TechCrunch.
On the NextSlide website, company founder Ahmed Beshri described the product as a service capable of transforming queries, notes, documents, or research findings into complete, editable presentations. The startup’s goal was to make visual communication more accessible and help more people clearly express their ideas.

Beshri stated that after joining OpenAI, the team will continue this mission by creating AI products that help people create content, communicate, and turn ideas into meaningful work. The parties did not disclose the terms of the deal.
In a LinkedIn post, the NextSlide founder noted that the acquisition was announced several months late, as the deal took place earlier this year. Previously, Ahmed Beshri co-founded Caper AI, a startup that developed smart shopping carts and cashier-less checkout technology. Instacart acquired Caper AI in 2021.
