PC sellers trick buyers with misleading storage capacity claims

Some unscrupulous vendors have started selling personal computers advertised as having 1.1 or 1.2 TB of storage, while actually outfitting them with drives no larger than 128 GB. The remainder of the storage capacity is provided via cloud services, with subscriptions pre-included in the PC’s price. This misleads buyers about the true local storage capacity of the devices.

These PCs are sold on major marketplaces, but the product descriptions often fail to clearly state that much of the storage is cloud-based. Many customers may not realize this trick, as the presented specifications appear believable and consistent with modern devices boasting large memory sizes.

As a result, buyers risk receiving computers with significantly less local storage than expected and will need to rely on paid cloud services. It is important to be cautious and carefully review technical specifications before making a purchase.
