Samsung SDS becomes Anthropic’s first Korean Select-tier partner
In South Korea, Samsung SDS has become the first Korean company to receive Select Tier status in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network. The status expands Samsung SDS’s ability to help businesses implement and operate the Claude generative AI platform, Korea Herald reports.
Expansion of the partnership
Samsung SDS received the status after entering into a strategic partnership with Anthropic at an artificial intelligence summit in San Francisco in July. Anthropic grants the Select level to partners that have certified technical specialists and proven experience using Claude in real business environments.
Previously, Samsung SDS had already been authorized to resell Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services’ platform for generative AI models. The new status expands its role in the technology implementation process, from consulting and software delivery to deployment, operation and technical support.

Use of Claude at Samsung
Samsung SDS has also deployed Claude Enterprise for internal use as part of its Client Zero strategy, under which the company tests services within Samsung before providing them to customers. Around 70,000 employees of 20 Samsung affiliate companies can use Claude to improve productivity and expand the broader adoption of AI.
The company plans to use this experience to support corporate clients and the public sector. Samsung SDS intends to combine Anthropic’s technologies with its own digital transformation expertise in public administration, finance, manufacturing and logistics, developing industry-specific AI services and agent-based solutions.
Under the July agreement, Samsung SDS and Anthropic are seeking new opportunities for enterprise AI in Korea through joint marketing and pilot projects. The parties are also training applied AI engineers who will support clients in implementation planning, deployment, operation and resolving technical issues.
