Zuckerberg described an AI assistant for tracking sleep, workouts, and daily life

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in an essay published on the company’s newsroom, described the concept of a “personal superintelligence”—an AI agent that, according to his vision, will work for the user around the clock in various areas of daily life.

Zuckerberg gave an example of how such an agent could help monitor health: tracking sleep, monitoring workouts, and providing feedback. He also explained that the AI could select personalized baking recipes each week together with his eight-year-old daughter, order ingredients, and offer tips during the cooking process.

According to Zuckerberg, his daughter is already using technology to program her own ideas and create videos. He also noted that they are designing a robot together.

As reported by Fortune, Sherry Turkle, founder and director of the Initiative on Technology and Self at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, criticized this vision. In her view, incorporating AI into health, lifestyle, home management, and careers could hand over to technology the activities that people themselves value in their daily lives.

In Meta’s concept, Ray-Ban smart glasses are cited as one way to interact with the agent. Fortune notes that the company is promoting the idea of a constantly active assistant at a time when it is trying to convince regulators and the public that sensitive data is adequately protected.

In September 2025, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission launched an investigation into how Meta and six other companies protect minors who use companion chatbots. Following reports of inappropriate interactions between Meta’s chatbots and minors, the company introduced parental controls and suspended teenagers’ access to its AI characters. Meta also reported a 91% drop in free cash flow—to $784 million—amid legal expenses and layoffs related to AI development.
