Flock Safety cameras are being damaged in the US — The Verge
In the US, people are protesting against Flock Safety surveillance cameras by damaging or disabling them. As The Verge reports, such actions are spontaneous and decentralized: the devices are disconnected, smashed, stolen, painted over, or physically covered for several hours.

According to the outlet, some people involved in damaging the cameras have been caught, but this has not stopped others. Support for those taking steps to remove the cameras is also spreading online: users speak approvingly of people who disable the equipment.

Reward in Georgia
Last week, Lumpkin County Sheriff in Georgia Stacy Jarrard announced on Facebook a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a person who, he said, destroyed a Flock Safety camera near a local park. In a video address, the sheriff stated that the device had been installed for the safety of children.
The sheriff's posts received more than 30,000 comments. Most of them, according to The Verge, were directed against the cameras, while some users mocked the police and expressed support for the vandals.
