Some buyers of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India may have been able to order the new smartphones through quick-commerce services with doorstep delivery in about 10 minutes. Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy's Instamart and BigBasket began offering the Pro models on the day sales started in the country, TechCrunch reports.

The new smartphones are also sold through Apple's usual channels: branded stores, authorized sellers and online marketplaces. Quick-commerce services in India had previously added new Apple devices to their assortments on launch day, expanding beyond deliveries of groceries and everyday goods.

Demand in the first hours of sales

BigBasket said it delivered more than 300 iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max smartphones in the first hour of sales. According to Instamart, the highest number of orders for iPhone 18 Pro series models on its platform came from Bengaluru, followed by Delhi. The most popular version was the burgundy iPhone 18 Pro with 256 GB of storage, accounting for nearly one-third of the service's sales.

At the same time, just a few hours after sales began, the availability of the new iPhones became uneven. In some locations and on certain platforms, iPhone 18 Pro models were sold out, although they could still be ordered for delivery in other parts of Delhi and Bengaluru.

Quick-commerce market

According to an estimate by Redseer Strategy Consultants, India's quick-commerce market reached about $9 billion in the first half of 2026. Its number of monthly users grew from 8 million to more than 60 million over three years. Google and Deloitte forecast that by 2030 the market could reach $50 billion, with non-food products, including electronics, fashion and cosmetics, accounting for 45% of spending.

Tarun Pathak, research director at Counterpoint Research, said that launch-day deliveries demonstrate the potential of quick commerce as a sales channel for premium smartphones in India's largest cities, although the volume of such orders remains small compared with total iPhone sales. Navkendar Singh, vice president at IDC, called India a distinctive market for this format because of big-city residents' trust in the services, but noted that it has not yet become a significant sales channel for smartphones.
