The "Bandura" armored ground robot system was unveiled in Ukraine
The Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has unveiled an updated version of the "Bandura" ground-based robotic system, which features enhanced hull protection against small arms fire and debris, as well as an integrated Starlink system for reliable communication in the face of active enemy electronic warfare (EW) operations.
The new backup channel significantly increases the platform’s survivability and mission effectiveness on the front lines, and engineers have further improved the control system for greater maneuverability and stability when moving off-road.
The upgrade also extended to the video surveillance system, which was supplemented with additional cameras capable of operating via satellite communication. The system is equipped with a modular platform, an electric power plant, and remote control via ELRS; thanks to its low center of gravity, wide wheels, and independent drive on each wheel, it moves effectively across difficult terrain. The technical specifications of the updated Bandura UAV include a range of up to 40 kilometers, a maximum speed of 10 kilometers per hour, and an IP56-rated housing.
This was reported by the company’s press service.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense had codified and approved for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the domestically produced "Volynyaka" unmanned aerial system.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Shablya MK19(M) remotely controlled combat module for use by the troops. It is equipped with a 40mm MK19 automatic grenade launcher.
