Video: Airbus Demonstrates Autonomous Interaction Between Two UAVs

At the ILA Berlin 2026 air show, Airbus publicly demonstrated, for the first time in Europe, real-time autonomous mission execution by two Primoco One 150 drones. The flights were controlled by the innovative MARS Autonomy software suite, which integrates multiple autonomous platforms into a single intelligent network.

This technology minimizes human involvement in routine processes, as the operator need only issue a single general command—for example, to search for surface-to-air missile systems in a specified area. The system then independently distributes tasks among the drones and processes the data and coordinates. During the test flight, the drones successfully completed two sets of tasks: multifunctional and accelerated surveillance.

The initial deployment of the MARS Autonomy system on Czech Primoco One 150 UAVs is scheduled for this year. The software architecture is universal and designed for future integration into other types of unmanned and manned systems.
