Xiaomi says Redmi Note 17 Pro Max can run for up to three days without charging
Xiaomi has said that the new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max smartphone will be able to operate for up to three days without charging. The model received a dual-cell 9,210mAh battery — the largest among Xiaomi phones that the company has sold in Europe. According to The Verge, in some countries the smartphone will have an even larger single-cell 10,000mAh battery.
Silicon-carbon battery
Both versions use a silicon-carbon battery with a 16% silicon content. According to the manufacturer, this design made it possible to fit a large battery into a body that is nearly the same size as the iPhone 17 Pro Max, while being 8 grams lighter and somewhat thinner.
Xiaomi estimates the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max battery life at up to 37 hours of continuous video playback. The company also says that the battery should retain 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles — which it equates to approximately six years of use.

Charging and other specifications
The smartphone supports 100W wired charging. According to Xiaomi, a full charge should take slightly more than an hour, while in 20 minutes the device can be charged for approximately one day of use.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will ship with Android 16. Xiaomi describes the software as providing a user experience at the level of a new device for six years, but did not specify the number of Android version updates. Other announced specifications include a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 6.83-inch display.
The smartphone also has a photochromic body design that appears under sunlight. In its absence, the device mostly looks white.
