110 children from Vyshneve will be sent to Artek for a health camp
Children from families affected by the recent enemy shelling in Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, will attend a health camp at the "Artek" International Children's Center in Zakarpattia. A total of 110 children are scheduled to participate in the program.
It is noted that the trip was organized with the support of the Ministry of Social Policy, the State Service of Ukraine for Children’s Affairs, the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and the Vyshneve City Territorial Community.
“For children who live with the realities of war every day, such trips offer an opportunity to leave their anxieties behind—at least for a while—to be active, make new friends, and relax in a safe environment. This time, 110 children in need of priority social care—including those affected by the man-made disaster—traveled to ‘Artek,’" the ministry’s statement reads.
The ministry noted that, among other things, the children will work with psychologists and art therapists, participate in sports, creative, and educational activities, remain under constant medical supervision, and receive five balanced meals a day.
In Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private residential buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were in medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.
During the Russian attack on Vyshneve on the night of July 6, a dog named Yosya found himself locked inside a house engulfed in flames. His owners were certain he had perished, but the animal managed to escape the fire.
