On Tuesday, August 18, cloudy weather with some clear spells is expected in Ukraine. Rain is expected in most regions, while thunderstorms and hail in some areas are forecast for the west. During the day, temperatures will rise to +33°.

“At night in the western regions, and during the day across Ukraine—except for the southeast and east—there will be moderate rain, with heavy rain in some parts of the west, thunderstorms, and in some areas, hail and gusts of 15–20 m/s,” the report states.

The wind will be from the south, shifting to the northwest in the western regions, at 7–12 m/s.

Temperatures will range from 15–20° at night to 28–33° during the day, with 20–25° in the western regions and Zhytomyr Oblast.

In Kyiv and the surrounding region, no precipitation is expected tomorrow night; during the day, rain and thunderstorms are expected, with hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s in some areas. The wind will be from the south, 7–12 m/s.

In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from 18–20°, and daytime temperatures from 28–30°; in the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures will range from 15–20°, and daytime temperatures from 28–33°.

According to the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the average monthly air temperature in Kyiv in July was 20.8°C, which is 0.5°C below the climatic norm.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a warning about temperatures reaching 38° and a fire hazard.
