Zelenskyy Held Talks with Trump: What They Agreed On
On September 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with U.S. President Donald Trump and agreed to hold a meeting in New York, which, he said, could change a great deal.
During the talks, the parties discussed de-escalation measures and fundamental issues of energy, food, and humanitarian security. Zelenskyy noted the positive diplomatic momentum, called the peace process the top priority, and thanked U.S. Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for their visit to Kyiv.
The head of state also expressed gratitude for the signing of the Lindsey Graham Act and emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to take serious joint steps with the U.S. team to achieve peace.
