A Kremlin agent who helped carry out attacks on Dnipro will spend 15 years behind bars

Based on evidence provided by the Security Service of Ukraine, a court sentenced an FSB agent—who was exposed for coordinating Russian strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk region—to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Law enforcement officials determined that the man had been recruited by Russian intelligence services through Telegram channels, where he was looking for easy money. He subsequently began carrying out the enemy’s orders and involved his wife in subversive activities.

According to the investigation, the agent passed on information about targets for Russian attacks on Dnipro and was also involved in arson attacks on Ukrzaliznytsia facilities. The court found him guilty of collaborating with an enemy intelligence service.

According to the case file, the couple tracked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations, which the enemy was using to prepare airstrikes.

To collect data, the woman took photos and videos of military facilities and marked their coordinates on Google Maps, while her husband transmitted the intelligence to a handler in Russia.

In addition, it has been documented that he set fire to a relay cabinet at a railway junction. The agent filmed the fire on his phone to provide a “report” to a Russian intelligence officer.

The perpetrator was subsequently supposed to continue a series of arson attacks on strategically important Ukrzaliznytsia facilities. In this way, the enemy hoped to disrupt the logistics of the Defense Forces on the eastern and southern sectors of the front.

During searches of the agent’s residence, arson devices, cell phones, and computer equipment containing evidence of his work for the FSB were seized.

Based on evidence from the Security Service, the court found the perpetrator guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • treason committed under martial law;

  • sabotage committed under martial law.

This was reported by the SBU.

A GRU agent who was planning terrorist attacks in Kyiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

As a reminder, the SBU detained a woman suspected of working for Russian intelligence services.

The SBU has also uncovered new schemes to evade mobilization throughout Ukraine.
