The government will allocate more than 3 billion hryvnia for the reconstruction of Vyshneve following the Russian shelling

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed officials to immediately draft a decision to allocate 3.04 billion hryvnias from the state budget’s reserve fund to address the aftermath of the shelling of Vyshneve in Kyiv Oblast, which occurred on July 6.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. According to her, these funds will be used to pay compensation to owners of destroyed or damaged homes, rebuild destroyed buildings, carry out major repairs on high-rise buildings, and restore utility networks. The relevant ministries have already been instructed to prepare the necessary decisions to provide funding.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this in a Telegram post.

Zelenskyy expects the SBU to conduct a detailed investigation into what happened in Vyshneve.

Following the Russian strike on Vyshneve—which led to a massive fire, repeated explosions, and the evacuation of residents—calls have intensified in the public sphere for an investigation into the placement of potentially dangerous facilities near residential neighborhoods.

In Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private residential buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were in medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.
