Actress Holly Marie Combs Explained Her Seven-Year Career Hiatus – People
52-year-old American actress Holly Marie Combs, known for her roles in the TV series "Charmed" and "Pretty Little Liars," stated on the House of Halliwell podcast that she is currently "retired" and has not been filming for seven years.
According to her, the main reasons for this decision were her family and raising her three sons, as well as a lack of interesting scripts among the offers she received. The actress noted that although ageism in the film industry has decreased somewhat, the selection of quality roles for women her age remains limited.
At the same time, Combs does not rule out a possible return to acting in the future, particularly once her younger children finish school and she has more free time. The actress’s most recent role was a guest appearance on an episode of the series *Grey’s Anatomy* in 2019, and prior to that, she played Ella Montgomery on *Pretty Little Liars* for six seasons.
