Andriy Rubel was dismissed from his position as head of the State Security Service
Andriy Rubel, head of the National Police’s Department of Strategic Investigations (DSR), has been dismissed from his post. Prior to this, media outlets and bloggers had identified Andriy Rubel as the likely organizer of the escape of Denys Komarnytskyi, the “overseer” of Kyiv.
This was reported to UA.News by its own sources.
Andriy Rubel assumed the position of head of the SID on October 12, 2022. Prior to his appointment, he served as deputy head of the SID.
As noted by National Police Chief Ihor Klymenko, Rubel has 22 years of experience in operational units and has risen from the rank of operative to leadership positions within the police system.
According to investigative reports, information has emerged suggesting that Rubel, Tsivinsky, and other individuals involved may have been implicated in the escape of Denis Komarnytskyi, the “overseer” of Kyiv.
We previously reported that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that, as part of an investigation into land fraud in the capital—which involves former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi, known as the “overseer” of Kyiv—a number of officials were dismissed from the Kyiv City State Administration.
We also recall that former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi used a camouflaged vehicle intended for transporting the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers to travel abroad.
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the ruling to freeze the assets of former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi, as well as those of his wife and driver. The case concerns the illegal seizure of land plots in Kyiv.
