In 2026, the AOZ nearly tripled its budget for weapons procurement

In 2026, the Defense Procurement Agency received 1.717 trillion hryvnia for the procurement of weapons and military equipment—nearly 2.7 times more than the previous year.

International funding during this period increased 16-fold. The increase in funding made it possible to significantly boost weapons deliveries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the first half of 2026, the army received over 2.47 million FPV drones and 121,200 multirotor UAVs. By comparison, approximately 2.2 million FPV drones and 98,700 multirotor drones were delivered throughout all of 2025.

As of the second quarter, the 2026 delivery plan was 63% complete for FPV drones, 69% for ammunition, 96% for military equipment, and 88% for UAVs.

Under the Dot-Chain Defense program, plan fulfillment reached 98%. As part of this program, more than 1.2 million items have already been delivered to the military, and 486 combat units have been connected to the system.
