Appeals court did not consider Kolomoisky’s complaint
The Kyiv Court of Appeal has not yet decided on the further fate of businessman Ihor Kolomoisky’s preventive measure.
According to UNIAN correspondents, a hearing to review the ruling on Kolomoisky’s detention based on newly discovered circumstances was attempted last week, but no decision was made. A similar situation occurred during today’s attempt to hear the case.
The panel of judges was supposed to consider a request to cancel the first-instance court’s decision, which kept Kolomoisky in detention. However, as reported by the court, the session effectively took place last week but ended without any ruling due to recusal of judges or their removal at the defense’s request.
Currently, a new date for reviewing Kolomoisky’s request has not been set. His lawyers stated that they are awaiting further procedural decisions from the court.
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure for oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky by two months in the case concerning the contract killing of lawyer Serhii Karpenko. He will remain in custody until July 4, 2025.
