The American company Bell Textron plans to establish a subsidiary in Ukraine, Bell Textron Ukraine, which will provide helicopter maintenance and repair services.
This was reported by Defence Express.
According to company representative Jeffrey Schlosser, the plans include establishing an office in Ukraine and developing long-term cooperation with the defense industry.
Bell believes that the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter and the multi-purpose UH-1Y Venom could be the best options for Ukraine.
Specifically, the AH-1Z is equipped with a 20-mm cannon, can carry up to 38 missiles, and is armed with AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, as well as AGM-114 Hellfire and AGM-179 JAGM air-to-ground missiles.
The company notes that crew training takes about seven months, but this period can be shortened.
At the same time, the issue of financing the purchase of these helicopters, which could cost around $1 billion, remains unresolved.
