In Ternopil, a court found an employee of the regional hydrometeorological center guilty of abuse of influence and fined her 68,000 hryvnias.

According to the case file, the official issued certificates of adverse weather conditions to businesswomen in exchange for money, which allowed them to receive compensation for lost crops.

The cost of the “services” ranged from $200 to $1,200, depending on the number of documents. The investigation documented two instances of money transfers—$600 each in December 2025 and January 2026.

The total amount of the illicit benefit was $1,200.

In court, the defendant pleaded guilty and expressed remorse. The court took into account that she had no prior convictions, has a disability, and made donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The woman was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and was fined.
