Azerbaijan has sent another shipment of power equipment to Ukraine

Azerbaijan has sent a new shipment of power equipment to Ukraine to restore and maintain the power grid ahead of the heating season. The shipment, transported by 10 heavy-duty trucks, includes powerful transformers, 186 kilometers of electrical cables, and other equipment necessary to ensure the transmission and distribution of electricity following Russian shelling.

The aid arrived amid intensified Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga thanked Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov for the support, while Ambassador Yuriy Gusev emphasized that this shipment is a practical manifestation of the strategic partnership between the two countries and a significant contribution to the resilience of the power grid this winter.

This was reported by Yuriy Gusev, Ukraine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan.

On July 29, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported that nearly 40 metric tons of equipment from Azerbaijan had been delivered via the ministry’s hub to one of the regional railway divisions.

As a reminder, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a law ratifying the treaty with Ukraine on legal assistance in civil and commercial matters.

Trade between Ukraine and Azerbaijan grew by more than 10% in the first five months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
