Boris Yermak, the father of Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President, visited Russia in late 2019 while transiting through Belarus, after his son had already become an aide to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was reported by the “Schemes” project.

According to journalists, on November 2, 2019, Boris Yermak flew from Minsk to St. Petersburg on a Belavia flight and returned on November 6 via the same route.

Accompanying him on the trip was his wife—Andriy Yermak’s mother, who was born in St. Petersburg. According to investigators, she visited Russia at least three times in 2018–2019 via Belarus.

Boris Yermak’s name was previously mentioned during a court hearing in the case involving Andriy Yermak, who is suspected of money laundering in connection with the construction of a luxury residence in Kozin, Kyiv Oblast.

According to the investigation, Boris Yermak oversaw the construction of the property: he held meetings with contractors and approved cost estimates and financial documents. However, no official charges have been filed against him.

Andriy Yermak’s lawyer, commenting on journalists’ questions regarding his parents’ trips to Russia and his possible connection to the construction, stated that these issues are not related to the criminal proceedings.

Andriy Yermak was released from pretrial detention and made his first comments.

In court, Yermak expressed respect for state institutions.

Bail proceedings for Yermak have begun.
