The National Bank of Ukraine fined Ukrposhta 1.7 million hryvnias

The National Bank of Ukraine has fined JSC Ukrposhta 1.7 million hryvnias. The regulator issued the decision on May 18.

This was statedin a press release from the NBU on Tuesday, May 19.

The NBU stated that "Ukrposhta," as a provider of financial payment services, failed to ensure the proper functioning of its corporate governance system, internal control system, and risk management system.

The National Bank identified violations of legislation governing activities in the payment market based on the results of off-site supervision of JSC "Ukrposhta" and taking into account the results of an inspection of the company conducted as of November 1, 2025.

"Ukrposhta" is required to pay the fine within five business days of receiving the NBU’s decision.

As a reminder, Ukrposhta has fully automated the sorting of parcels and letters.

Ukrposhta disclosed the salaries of its Supervisory Board members following a complaint by journalists to the ombudsman.

Ukrposhta received 100% protection as a military infrastructure facility.
